My Life as a Modern Teen

So, the first article in a squeaky new blog always has the tendency to be quite a difficult one, don't you think? At first, all that one can do is scratch their heads (although I chose not to as I prefer to keep my oh-so-beautiful clean from my dirtier-than-possible nails) before typing some sort of random rubbish which even the least confident writers wouldn't dare to unveil to the online community. Well, here goes.

My name? As I'm only a teenager (whose actual age will not be revealed; some secrets are worth having, right?), I don't see how my real name should be revelant to the topics I wish to discuss in the future - 'LikeATeen' is enough to display my true purpose, isn't it?

Anyway, my reasons for setting up this blog (purely for my own pleasure and a means of avoiding tiresome boredom during half-term; there are only so many episodes of The Originals which can grab my attention each week) are simple as Aleksandr Orlov's meerkat-themed adverts: writing is one of my numerous (not!) hobbies and there couldn't possibly be a better way of perfecting my much-valued skills than sharing my thoughts online, courtesy of my erratic teenage hormones.

Who knows what I'll want to write about once an idea pops into my pop song-filled head? Sometimes, the most obscure topic may occur to me when I least expect it; on other occasions, the idea might be more simple and meaningful in relation to my interests. So, do not automatically expect a blog stuffed with pictures of tweed coats from the latest Chanel show or my yearning to get a ticket for a Lady Gaga concert, although I definitely wouldn't have the guts to say no to visiting the o2 arena...

Get ready to read about life from a teenager's point of view, if you are prepared to hop along with the ride: it's sure to be one exciting rollercoaster which you will never want to get off. Well, if my lunch consisting of homemade fairy cakes don't make a rare, yet unwanted appearance...
